PROBLEM Homelessness is Los Angeles is a crisis. More people are living on the streets than ever, and many residents are fighting tooth and nail to prevent housing from being constructed in their neighborhoods.

INSIGHT People ignore the homeless who live among them, and render them invisible.

STRATEGY Through colorful murals, we redefined unhoused citizens as neighbors of all of LA. Including statements and portraits from the people we spoke to, the murals gave a voice to the ignored, and the colors made the work un-ignorable.

I designed digital assets for an augmented reality snapchat filter, which were brought to life by the talented creative Bryan Hsu. My doodles were animated and incorporated into programming which allowed the artwork to literally pop off the mural, as well as allow the user to support Permanent Supportive Housing in Los Angeles.
